![]() Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services, Inc. provides sales, installation and service support of avionics equipment and maintenance services on many airframes. We serve customers from all reaches of the United States, Mexico, Canada, South America and Europe. ![]() Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services, Inc. started business on May 15, 1995 as Columbia Avionics, Inc. On this date the Company purchased an existing avionics shop, Jo-Del Electronics, which was founded, owned and operated by Del and Jo Whitmer very successfully for 17 years prior. ![]() In January 1997, Columbia Avionics opened a second facility in Uvalde, Texas. ![]() Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services, Inc. is a privately owned company. The Company was owned by Robert Lennon and managed by Lance Fox since its inception. In December 2003, Lance Fox became the owner and president of Columbia Avionics, Inc. Robert Lennon continues to operate Avionics of Minnesota, Inc. at the Crow Wing Co. Regional Airport in Brainerd, Minnesota. ![]() In January 2004, operations in Uvalde, Texas ceased. Since then, all company operations have been at Columbia Regional Airport in Columbia, Missouri. ![]() In January 2010 Columbia Avionics, Inc. officially changed its name to Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services, Inc. to better reflect the services offered to its customers. ![]() On September 1, 2010, Columbia Avionics & Aircraft Services, Inc. acquired Skytek, Inc. of Fulton, Missouri. Skytek offers a wide range of aircraft maintenance services, including engine overhauls, cylinder repairs, fuel system set ups, annual inspections, and propeller balancing. Industry wide known engine expert Bob Moseley will remain on the staff and will be responsible for the daily operations. |
