Citation ProjectsBelow are pictures of projects that we have completed in the last few years. Columbia Avionics was the first facility to install and field certify both the Garmin GNS-430 and GNS-530 systems. We can interface new avionics with almost any autopilot. We have completed STC’s for EFIS systems in Cessna 500 series Citations, including a 5-tube EFS-50 EFIS system. Recently, we secured an STC for RVSM in Citation 500 series aircraft. Our STC incorporates IS&S altimeters and equipment as shown in the picture below.

Our latest panel layout includes a Garmin GNS-530 over an MX-20 with a new glareshield. This was made possible by a new system for mounting the engine instruments. ************************************* In the Fall of 2005, this Citation 500 received our IS&S RVSM package with an EFIS- 50/KFC-325 autopilot system. To update the communication and navigation systems, Garmin GNS-530A, GNS 430A & two GTX-330's were installed. A new glareshield incorporating the original fire tray and annunciator panel was installed to make space in the center panel. Our auxiliary circuit breaker panel was added to the far right panel to add circuit breaker space.
************************************* This Citation S550 received our IS&S RVSM package plus a Garmin GNS-530A & GNS 430A combination. An L3 iLink multi-function display system with a new ART-2100 radar, Skywatch HP TCAS, and KGP-560 EGPWS were installed to update the cockpit for state-of-the-art hazard awareness. Digital control heads were installed to replace the mechanical transponder and ADF units. N.A.T. hot microphone intercoms were added for the pilots' convenience.
************************************* This Citation Jet received a Garmin GNS-500 GPS and a Honeywell IHAS 8000 Multi-Function Display system with TCAS, EGPWS, and a Goodrich WX-500 Stormscope. The existing radar was interfaced into the MFD.

This Citation 551 received a new Avidyne Flightmax EX500 along with Garmin 530 & 430 radios and RVSM. ************************************* The Citation I above received an EFIS-50 two-tube system with a KFC-325 Autopilot, two Garmin GNS-530's, two Baker B1035 audio panels, KT-70 Mode-S transponders, a new RDR-2100 radar with an Avidyne Flight Max 740 MFD, a BF Goodrich Sky 497 TCAS System, a WX-500 Stormscope, Shadin Digidata Fuel/Airdata System, an Aircell AT.01, Heads Up Technologies Cabin Briefer and a new glareshield incorporating the aircraft annunciator to increase panel space. *******************************
This Citation 500 received a new autopilot and two-tube EFIS system with a Garmin 530 and 430 combination. It also received a KMD-850 MFD with a RDR-2000 radar system and KGP-560 ground proximity system. *****************************
This Citation received two Garmin 430's and a radar with an Avidyne MFD. ****************************
This Citation III received two new STC'd systems: First, dual Collins AHS-3000A AHRS systems. Second, a Collins FDS-2000 three display EFIS system. With the EFIS system, it received a Collins TWR-850 turbulence weather radar system. Previously, it received a complete cabin entertainment system with a 15" plasma display, VCR, DVD and speaker audio. See the pictures below.

The Citation 550 pictured above has a KMD-540 MFD with a new KGP-860 EGPWS, a WX-500 Stormscope and KDR-510 data link system. It received an Artex E.L.T. It also received a Collins Proline upgrade with new control heads and 8.33 KHz communication spacing. Columbia
